2021 “Pureland as A Haven for Our Mind: culture and art series – Serendipity with Pure Land” Online Concert

Invited by the local Buddhism group, The Pure Land Assembly (PLA), Hong Kong Gaudeamus Ensemble (HKGDE) has performed on the online program "Pureland as A Haven for Our Mind: culture and art series - Serendipity with Pure Land." The performance was originally took part at the Concert Hall of Hong Kong City Hall on 2nd February but changed to an online show due to COVID-19. The performance has premiered on 1st March on PLA Facebook and YouTube Channel with great support from its members and the public.

Resident musicians of HKGDE has performed three Dunhuang music pieces composed by the composers-in-residence. "A Heaven in a Flower" and "Offering" and "Rituals and Chants" are selected by HKGDE to match the concert theme. The animation background of the Dunhuang mural has been added vitality to the concert and brought positive energy to the audience at the same time!
