Ancient Instruments Workshop for the Heavenly Music of Dunhuang Exhibition

In addition to concert performances, the Heavenly Music of Dunhuang project also included demonstrations and interactive workshops on ancient musical instruments, in order to reproduce the mural depictions for the audience through music.

We held seminars in English and Putonghua to share the Ensemble’s ideas with the international community and foster exchange with the audience for the enrichment of Dunhuang culture studies. Through the music programming and the use of audiovisual stereo stage setting, we hope that Dunhuang music can be interpreted with a combination of innovative and traditional forms and presented as an immersive experience to the audience.
